I read that miniature roses are supposed to be very hardy, since they are growing on their own roots. Which means, I guess, that most other roses have been grafted onto a different rootstock. I don’t cover the minis in winter so I guess that would confirm that they are pretty hardy. They are susceptible, however, to all of the other rose problems such as aphids, black spot, etc., so I spray the minis when I spray all of the other roses.

As the flower of this rose develops, each of the petals starts to curl under, forming a point at the center of each petal. You can see this starting to happen in this photo, but it gets more profound over time. This rose is blooming very profusely this year.
