Challenge: To architect and implement the infrastructure for a new mission-critical, centralized, enterprise project tracking and workflow application to run in a Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server environment. Application is still in development stages, so no performance baselines are available. Therefore, the infrastructue must be flexible, scalable, and highly available.
Response: A Storage Area Network based on Compaq's StorageWorks EMA8000, coupled with a 2-node cluster leveraging the SAN for the shared storage requirement.
